Aquatech Canadian Water Services Inc. is a privately held Canadian corporation established in 2004, specializing in management, operations, and maintenance services for both Water and Wastewater facilities. Aquatech Canadian Water Services Inc. is one of the largest private Canadian operations teams of Water and Wastewater treatment plants.

We are presently seeking a certified Wastewater treatment operator to join our team in the Morley area. We are looking for an individual who is seeking a career with our rapidly expanding company, and is eager to learn.

Responsibilities

Working under the guidance of the supervisor, you’re responsible for conducting the daily operation and maintenance of the facility.

The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Carry out the daily operation (regulatory monitoring and reporting process adjustments, chemical transferring and maintenance) of the facility
  • Complete and compile data of daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling as required
  • Report operational problems to the supervisor
  • Perform maintenance tasks as requested by the supervisor
  • Perform laboratory analysis and reporting
  • Help the supervisor with the preparation of monthly annual reports
  • On call duties as per the schedule set out by the supervisor
  • Participate and comply with all aspects of the company’s health and safety program

Mandatory Requirements

• lvl 1 or higher in WWT, WT, WWC, WDS
• Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s licence, a driver’s abstract will be required
• Ability to lift 35 kg (77 lbs)
• Proof of Valid Certification
• Proof of Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
• Operators with multi-disciplinary certifications
• Training certificates in H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, and TDG
• Mechanical knowledge
• Hand and power tool knowledge

• Able to work under pressure quickly and efficiently
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Office experience (specifically Word and Excel)
• Strong independent worker and team player
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
